Jul17 Earthy Boho 2013
I’ve been faithful to my french country decor for some time, but lately I’ve found myself moving towards incorporating more color and texture. I haven’t settled on anything in particular, but I thought I’d share some of the inspiration photos I’ve been gathering. It’s a bit mediterranean (mostly because I love the architecture) and a bit boho (for the color and element of fun), with a side of southwestern (because I’m so drawn to the textiles, and maybe purchased some real antlers for my wall on a recent Texas road trip).
So, maybe it’s earthy boho? Whatever its called, I’m digging it.

Jul16 Covet Garden 2013
This morning I stumbled upon a really amazing little corner of the internet–obviously I had to share it with you!
Covet Garden is an online magazine baed in Toronto. Each issue focuses on just one couple or individual’s home and lifestyle. House tours, their favorite cocktails, DIY ideas they came up with, on and on. A whole issue dedicated to some brilliantly creative people with killer inspiration for creating your own space.
You can flip through the pages online of every issue they’ve created (32 so far!) AND, many of the cool things in the spaces have been made into clickable links that take you right to where you can buy stuff. Too cute.
May01 Summer cocktail 2013
Summer is upon us (or already here for those of us lucky enough to live in warm places!), which means that porch-sitting, backyard-barbecuing, and cocktail-drinking are top priority.
The lovelies over at Valley & Co sent us this yummy recipe for a Blood Orange + Mint Sunset. Enjoy!
What you’ll need:
blood oranges || 1 oz. blood orange liqueur || .5 oz. gin || seltzer water || a handful of mint leaves || ice || fine grained sugar
Dampen the rim of a low ball glass and dip in sugar. Muddle a few mint leaves in the bottom the low ball. Add ice, blood orange liqueur and gin. Stir and top with seltzer water. Serve with orange wedges and mint leaves as garnish. Cheers!
Editor’s note: if you want a mocktail version, substitute the liqueur with blood orange juice and omit the gin.

Mar21 Insta Wall 2013
I have a few awkwardly small wall spaces in my house that I never quite know what to do with. I feel the urge to cover every wall while still having clean space. It’s kind of an ongoing dilema.
I recently saw this idea for covering a small wall and I really love it. Let’s not worry for now about the fact that a lot of my Instagram photos (of what I ate for lunch) aren’t going to be great art pieces. Instead, let’s focus on the fact that some corner of the internet houses photos of some really amazing memories. Wouldn’t it be so fun to have a way to display them like this?
You could do this with polaroids or old postcards you gather up at estate sales and vintage shops. Really, it’s a pretty versatile idea.
I did some research on getting my Insta photos printed, and it’s a lot easier and cheaper than I imagined it might be. Printstagram look like my favorite option. Leave other suggestions in the comments if you have experience ordering from different places!
I’m off to go take cooler Instagram pictures. Wish me luck.

Valentine’s Day is in two days! I know so many of you darlings visit from Grey Likes Weddings, so here’s a bit of inspiration for throwing a perfect little early morning Valentine’s breakfast for your new or soon-to-be husband–complete with printable banners and tags, of course.
The lovely Jacy from Hyssop Design created this perfect lavender and gold printable suite of goodies just for Nesting readers! I love breaking away from the typical red and pink, and of course adding sparkle. That’s a requirement.
